JAMMU, May 3 (KNO) : Expressing anguish over the incident of stone pelting on school bus in Shopian, leaving two minors injured, Janta Dal United JD (U) state president G M Shaheen castigated the state government for its failure to identify unknown miscreants who create violence in various areas of the Kashmir valley and said miscreants have put the humanity to shame by attacking a school bus in Shopian, seriously injuring some kids.
Describing the incident as highly condemnable and cowardice act aiming to create fear psychosis among the school going children, Shaheen expressed his displeasure over the incident, saying that it was an attempt to restrict children from attending their schools.
“I am shocked to hear about the incident and strongly condemn the stoning of school children,” he added and urged that the perpetrators of this crime must be identified for punishment. He said sudden spate in the incident of violence coinciding with the onset of tourism season in Kashmir is a big question mark, which the present government has failed to answer and demanded that government should act effectively and sternly against all such conspiracies.
He added that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have important role in state of Jammu and Kashmir to gear up the peace in entire region and appealed the youth of the state to shut the violence and gear up the their future in different progressive schemes of the country.
Taking a dig on present coalition government, Shaheen said, “People are searching for an alternative of ruling PDP-BJP as both the parties compromised their core ideology and formed government only for chair while the basic problems of people in Jammu as well as Kashmir remained unattended. On other hand central leadership also invoke hollow promises and have nothing to offer the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
